Modcloth Monday ~ Corporate Pinup

Happy Monday everyone!

Being an office going pinup, I'm always on the hunt now days for outfits that can be both work and leisure wear with ease. This means a drop in halter neck items but a lift in blouses, skirts and 1940's style dresses.

Today for Modcloth Monday, I thought I'd do a post about some pretty ensembles that have caught my eye colour wise that I felt would work well with a corporate environment!

Enjoy!

I hope you've enjoyed this Modcloth Monday!

Til tomorrow!

Modcloth Monday ~ Homeware edition

Hello all!

As I'm now living in a much happier and healthier living environment (even if it isn't on my own) I'm finding myself drawn to some quirky little touches that will make home feel more...homely, well for me anyway!

I'm still a good 12 months of having my own little retro abode like the one above but I'm patient and confident! I feel living with someone else in a flatmate setting as oppose to a boarder is really going to be beneficial in building good 'adulting' skills, as my first attempt as solo living wasn't fabulous!

But anywho, here are some of my current favorites from the 'homewares' section of modcloth at the moment!

All That Panda Cup of Tea Set ~$44.99

Modcloth Monday ~ Winter Shoes

Hello all!

So for those who don't have the pleasure of living in the southern hemisphere, its currently winter for us in Australia and its been a chilly one!

Thankfully I don't live in an area that snows, but its already snowing in the mountains and has been since mid May, meaning the 'breeze' that comes from the mountains has been ice cold! This has been my first winter since being a pinup where I've had to step outside the realm of just adding a cardigan to my outfits...because its been just too darn cold for that! So I've had to start investing in things to help keep me warm.

Outside of knitwear (which I want to cover in a seperate blog post) I've been looking at investing in more winter accessories, namely winter shoes to help get me through this years colder months!

I've primarily been looking for boot style shoes or heels that are primarily enclosed, to help keep my tootsies warm this winter! For my Modcloth Monday this week, here are my favorites from their site!

As someone who has lived in sandals for most of summer, winter appropriate shoes are currently very high on the priority list as keeping my feet warm and dry is a big step towards staying cold free!

Much love

Modcloth Monday ~ 1940's flare!

Morning all!

Its time for Modcloth Monday!

So basically, as I've explained recently I'm having a bit of a love affair with 1940's fashion. As winter comes creeping in with the dramatic flare of a comic villain I have been looking into some pants options to help keep me nice and warm this year and swing pants with blouses have been very high on this list!

The first time I'd really ever seen someone wear swing pants was in the previously mentioned documentary Time Warp Wives  there is a young woman featured who has a love for the 1940's. Her entire look really sparked a keen interest in me for this era and swing pants as a result have been high on my list to invest in ever since and I honestly cannot WAIT to purchase my first pair!

 Top 1 ~ We go Pathway Back Top ~ $29.99 / Top 2 ~ The Schooner the Better Top ~ $49.99 / Top 3 ~ Botanical Collective Top ~ $44.99

Working in an office that is quite grey, I enjoy wearing a lot of colour to work. It generally brightens the place and helps to brighten the mood I find. I'm loving these three blouses from Modcloth to pair with plain swing pants! The beauty is that all 3 could mix and match with the pants I like as well as keeping professional in cut with bright playful colours!

These pants all look so comfortable and versatile! I honestly cannot WAIT to get my first pair of swing pants and I look forward to sharing with you all where I decided to get them from in a review!

Much love,

Modcloth Monday ~ Summer Cutie

Hello all!

So being the end of summer, though the warmer weather is still lingering at the start of autumn, I wanted to do a post that was dedicated to summer for my Modcloth Monday today! Keeping it short and sweet as I'm currently prepping for the Rock n Roll Markets next week!

I absolutely love the pattern and cut of this dress...I'm such a tiki lover and I thought these simple but beach themed accessories complimented it beautifully!

Much love,

Belated Modcloth Monday ~ Nautical Vibes

Sorry for being so behind on my posts! This week has been hectic for me! Going to be doing a LOT of catching up today!

But lets get straight into with a very late Modcloth Monday!!

I LOVE nautical themed things....actually I think I just love themed outfits in general. I did a lot of boating and fishing with my mum in my teens which I think added to this love! So I picked out some adorable nautical style pieces I would pair together in a heartbeat! Especially loving the top! I need a good red striped one!

More posts coming your way!

Modcloth Monday! ~ 19th January 2015

I'm sorry for being a day late again to my Aussies! Still getting use to having set post dates for things!

SO...its modcloth Monday and as I was feeling a little fancy after going out on the weekend my items today are inspired by a date night idea!

So I've been a tad obsessed with green for ever pretty much. I find greens to deep and alluring, very sexy but also very classy, especially the deeper shades. I instantly fell in love with this velvet creation! The wiggle design would be amazing for highlighting curves. The bust line would be wonderful on, the wide shoulders look like they'd offer good support while the shape highlights the bust. And velvet....so sexy. Even if its not summer friendly (SO HOT!)

I chose a plain black heel and I loved the sheet cutout in these. Such a playful hint at being a little bid daring with footwear while being true to the classical cut of the dress.

I chose the necklace because I thought it was such a sophisticated splash of colour across the piece. I'd wear it for a fancy night out!

And with such a statement necklace I wanted to keep the back simple. Its small, classical with the lace and doesn't blend into the dress without stealing the attention.

Well that's my Modcloth Monday! I hope you guys enjoyed it!

Modcloth Monday - 12/1/2015

So sorry this is belated guys!

Its been a very HOT week and a very busy one here for me but here is my Modcloth Monday!

This ridiculous hot weather has me daydreaming of the beach has inspired todays Modcloth Monday (even if its Thursday).

How incredibly adorable is this swimsuit! I mean, I honestly need it in my life! The cut of it looks incredible and the pattern is cute as and I love the side detailing!

I'd team this adorable swimsuit with this gorgeous yellow necklace to bring out the daisy pattern, these white sandals and these AMAZING sunglasses!

So thats my modcloth Monday/Thursday for this week. Will make sure its on time next week!!

Modcloth Monday!

So I know this is a day late but I got completely sidetracked yesterday so didn't do it! Ops!

Considering work is on my mind atm I let that flow through my Modcloth Monday post with an adorable little work outfit I would totally wear!

So my first choice for Modcloth Monday was this gorgeous Luck Be a Lady Plaid Dress. It screams office chic to me. I love plaid though I don't really wear it a lot and would love to add some to my wardrobe! Plus being primarily cotton it would be a great year round dress!

I love these little flat shoes! Part of my new years wardrobe goals was to buy more shoes good quality pinup shoes and pairs like this Candy Apple Flat by BAIT are definitely on my list! I need some good pinup style flats in my life. I've heard SO many amazing things about BAIT footwear and I cannot wait to add them to my wardrobe.

I paired the Loveliness Unlocked bag with it because I thought the throw of maroon against the green/black/cream was really nice and wasn't so big it took away from the dress. I thought the key was a nice touch!

I fell in love with this little dino necklace  as I flicked through the jewelry section. I've always been a dinosaur lover and I felt like this little gold beauty just finished it all off nicely!

So that's my first Modcloth Monday! Looking forward to sharing more with you all next week!

Til tomorrow!
